The power of recognition

In increasingly competitive scenarios, increasingly dynamic scenarios. I am not a psychologist or a specialist in the subject, but years and years of observing teams and collaborators, including myself, are enough for me. We generally spend our time worrying because we are not valued or recognized.

And the question I ask myself is how many times do we recognize our peers or leaders?

In my professional life, I have found that it is unusual to praise leaders. In my case, whenever I had interaction with them, it was always to solve situations that required back and forth. With them, I encountered solutions where a genuine expression of admiration would have been appropriate.... I gave a few of such returns.

My approach in this post is to perform the exercise of looking up or to the side (in organizational terms), to those who in some way make decisions that affect our professional lives.

Consciously evaluate the positive things (only) and give positive feedback spontaneously, as part of a positive return that no one asks for.

This would start to make a great impact on life.... it could be a New Year resolution also :)
